Shahria Jaman Khan | Founder of MindQuest
Hi, I'm Shahria Jaman Khan. I write code, build things, and sometimes figure out how to make them work.
I'm working on MindQuest these days, but honestly, I'm still figuring a lot of this out. I believe in trying things, failing fast, and learning from the messes I create. It's not always pretty, but it's how I've learned to move forward.
🎯 What Drives Me
I keep coming back to:
- Building things that actually help people (and hoping they don't break)
- Learning through doing, even when I'm way out of my depth
- Finding ways to connect dots that don't seem to connect
- Staying curious even when things get uncomfortable
🚀 How I Work
My approach is pretty simple:
- I learn by doing, often the hard way
- I build things from scratch because I don't always know the "right" way
- I make a lot of mistakes, but I try to make them useful
- I'm still figuring out how to balance technical skills with human problems
📋 Personal Release Notes
v1.0 (0–16) – Dependent Stage
- Life stage: Dependent
- Core systems bootstrapped: language, reasoning, survival instincts
- Cognitive foundation established
- Key notes: relied on guidance from family and school, forming early identity patterns
v2.0 (17–20) – Dependent → Independent Transition
- Life stage: Transitioning from Dependent to Independent
- Entered survival mode
- Feature set: exploration, unstructured trial-and-error
- Known issues: lack of guidance, instability
- Key notes: developing self-reliance and personal responsibility
v3.0 (21–23) – Independent Stage – COVID Build
- Life stage: Independent
- Major update: learned programming
- Self-taught development → accelerated technical growth
- Deployed first independent projects
- Frequent crashes (failed attempts), but continuous hotfixes
- Key notes: still figuring things out, but learning to own my mistakes
v4.0 (24–27) – Independent Stage – Dropout Build
- Life stage: Independent
- Added: full scholarship university admission
- Deprecated: academic track (dropped out same year)
- Built some big projects that actually worked (surprisingly)
- Started a few companies (most failed, but I learned)
- Iterative builds: lots of broken things that eventually became less broken
- Key notes: learning that failure is just another iteration, not the end
v5.0 (27– ) – Interdependent Stage – Current Release
- Life stage: Interdependent
- Focus shift: consolidation + scaling
- Developing Unified Platform for Work & Business
- Architecture: trying to make it modular and scalable (still learning)
- Target: hoping to help lots of people (but starting small)
- Status: building, breaking, fixing, repeat
- Key notes: realizing I can't do everything alone, learning to trust and work with others
v6.0 (Upcoming Release) – Sharpening the Saw
- Life stage: Sharpening the Saw
- Focus areas:
- Physical transformation & health
- Mental models & philosophical frameworks
- Scaling business impact globally
- Mastery of self and team systems
- Key notes: trying to be better today than yesterday, one small step at a time
If you're passionate about reimagining the future of work and business, I'd love to connect. Together, we can build technology that makes work more human, accessible, and impactful.
Best,
